Disciplemakers: Prayer and Practice

Robby Gallaty, in hs book Replicate: How to Create a Culture of Disciple-Making Right Where You Are.

Contrary to what we see today in many churches, where salvation is essential and discipleship is optional the first-century Christians took Jesus’ commission seriously. It’s worth noting five words in the Great Commission: go, make disciples, baptize, and teach. Only one of them is an imperative. The driving force of the commission is to ‘make disciples.” During the month of July we will be digging into the concept of discipleship, stressing such ideas as 'Not Out, but From;' "Both with and Sent;" Not Divided, but United;" and "Not a Task, but 'the Way'!" We begin with "The Participle and the Imperatives."
